About CÓDIGO

The Consortium for Genomic Diversity, Ancestry, and Health in Colombia supports local research capacity in genomics, bioinformatics, and precision medicine. The CÓDIGO webserver aggregates data from Colombian genome projects, integrating genetic ancestry with variant population allele frequencies and clinical associations, and shares summary data with the global scientific community.

Collaborate

  • CÓDIGO is actively recruiting collaborating investigators and laboratories
  • Our collaborative model:
    • Contributing investigators/laboratories share de-identified genomic data with the CÓDIGO development team
      • Genomic data are protected in a secure server
    • Contributors maintain ownership and control of their data
      • No individual genomic data or meta-data are released to the public
      • Only summary statistics derived from the data are released to the public
    • Individual investigators/laboratories share their genomic data with the CÓDIGO development team
  • All contributing investigators collaborate on a receive credit for the webserver and any publications that arise from it
